two users try to share it.

i have hadumped the file on a network share and given both users rights to see edit and creat files using acitve directory.

problem is the original user can acces the file all right and hunky dorry. The new user cant she just gets told that its read only.

thing that confuses me the most is if you pull the files from the server onto the new users computer she has access(this sounds false thought but this is the info i have been given)

now when im looking at the documents file maker pro acts like a server and hands out the rights to the file??

im so confused has any one got the answer to my problem. i suspect im trying to force the program to do something it just cant do.

all text needs typos. There there for the reader to find,to distract them from the total lack of content.
google it! wasnt the answer to the question i asked so dont be dense and give me that repl

If you want to use Filemaker Pro in this way, you'll have to inquire to see if they have a network license available. Using a stand-alone license on a network share will result in the exact behavior you are seeing.

Life's more painless for the brainless.
