Comment: from MS Access. when i access a database file which is in a different machine (MS SQL Server), and after working on and saving this file in my local workstation it will automatically create additional copy of that file in the same local folder. how do i stop this from happening? as i just want to be working on a single copy.

Reply: (edit)Are you sure it's creating a copy of the mdb file? What's the name of the newly created file? Life is more painless for those who are brainless.

Reply: (edit)yeah jennifer, i'm very sure of what i'm saying. for instance when i browse to this folder via windows explorer i see additional files added there - i mean i'm working with a file called "officelist" in folder called "officefolder" but after updating, closing and exiting. when next i open officefolder i will simply see an added file called "officelist2". what could this mean and how do i stop it Jennifer?
