Can't locate .bash_profile file in /home/orac

Specs: SLES
I'm trying to install Oracle11g R1 ( on SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 10. i first created the Oracle user account, set the system parameters, created oracle directories and now I want to set the Oracle environment by editing the .bash_profile file, however I can't seem to locate it in /home/oracle directory

Just try vi .bash_profile. If the file doesn't already exist that will create it.

(I'm sure you realize that .* files are hidden from the "ls" command unless you use the "-a" switch.)
