Boot from EISA configuration

Specs: Windows Vista Enterprise Edition
I have a Sony Vaio Notebook, which has the operating system setup and recovery in an EISA configured partition (partition 0). My original OS crashed because of some problems with dual boot system. Now I am trying to recover from the partition but i'm not able to find a way out. I tried booting with the partition by adding it to the grub but i end up booting on the new windows i installed for the time being.
