Is there a formula for using an invoice template that will auto fill the invoice number when a new one is opened?

If I'm understanding you correctly, in your invoice number
column you want the following formula
=IF(B1>"",get the value from cell above + 1,"")
THis will automatically increment the invoice number as a new
one is entered.
Otherwise you might want to work with Access

Thanks for trying. This template came from Microsoft Excel Templates. I'll try to find that again.
