I am having problems with chaging the FSB to 133. I bought a xp2100 and on boot I see xp1500+. I changed the jumpers on the MOBO to 133 when the default was 100. The boot nows says xp2100+, but I have problems on the computer reseting. I have changed out agp to pci video cards to see if that was the problem I bought new memory nothing is working. I have an alabtron kx400 pro MOBO. I am not sure what i am doing worng or if i am doing any worng or not if any one can help please reply.

I also have a problem setting my FSB to 133 on the Athlon XP 2100+, this Athlon seems to be cursed, as all 2100 XP's are failing on 133 FSB

Tried it ranging from a 300wat PSU all the way up to a 550wat and the same problem occurs, works great for a few mins or even a few hours, and for no reason just freezes the machine,

My solution for this was to put it on 132 FSB and it works like a charm, no crashes, freezes ect,

Strange

Why only the XP 2100+

has to be a flaw with them somewhere

Anyway set it to 132 FSB and you should have no probs what so ever

Goodluck

I have the exact same problem with my amd xp 1700. It always shuts down/restarts after when 133 is selected. I tried speeds in between too

I have the same problem with XP2100 & A7v333 m/b.

I have NOT unlocked the CPU, can I still set the FSB to 132 without problems?

I've been clocked at 140+ on my 2100xp with no problems now for a few days on an ECS L7VTA mb with 512mg ddr 300 memory and a 350 watt power supply running a ti4200 64mg video clocked at 265 core 575mghz on memory runs great. Are you running good memory on your mb (cheap memory can conflict with processor cache L1 & L2)
