I have an overclocking tool that came with the mo/bo from MSI. It's a KT3 ultra or somethin like that. The program's called Fuzzy logic and it's an overclocking program. I have never seen my CPU get up to 12.5x189.4 before. (2367 Mhz), 41 degrees c
I played HL2 with the overclocking tool, but it seemed to be fairly, well very unstable.
Has anyone else gotten a palomino B to 2.4 ghz? How can I stabalize at that speed? suggestions anyone?

Are you able to lock the PCI/AGP speeds at 33/66mhz? If not, they're overclocking along with the FSB.
If you haven't raised the CPU voltage & your board provides for it, you may wanna try increasing it a bit & see if it helps stabilize your system. More volts = more heat, so watch your temps.
Your DDR333 RAM may not like running at 190mhz. If you suspect memory is the problem, you could try increasing the RAM voltage by 0.10v

I runon an MSI KT6 board & did use the OC
utuility ONCE but i won't again. Don't trust
it! Your CPU might run at 2.4ghz in the (for
a processor) ;-) stress free enviroment of
windows, but when you start stressing it
playing recent games it will fall apart! You
need to OC using the bios raising the FSB a
litlle at a time and stress-testing with
prime95 or Realstorm, methinks. I would
suggest phase-change or water cooling + an
agressive voltage increase if you plan to run
that fast. but that would be very expensive!Sorry to spoil your fun LOL!
Merry Christmas!
all of the above may/may not be true
