Curiosoty got the better of me a week ago, and I changed my multipliers from 11.5x to 12.5*13x. Now I didn't "unlock* my CPU and I run a Soltek 75kav, and now my sys is running at 1.67ghz (xp2000). The bios says its an xp2000 and SIS sandra 2003 is giving me readings that eerything is running fine and everything is faster. My sys is running at 42c idle and 46c under load. I would like to know what would happen if I changed the multiplier to 14, the highest it can go manually, or what I could do to boost it up more CPU wise. I've tried "upping" the FSB but my AGP slot goes through the roof and crashes out in XP. Just wanna know what I could do to get a lil more.

I run the 1800 on a MSI KT4 Ultra. I have my FSB at 145, and the Mult at 12.5/13 with a vcore of 1.6. Just up the bus a little, and if it becomes unstable, bump the vcore up a bit, until it is, and then move the fsb up some more. Keep doing it until you can't stabalize it any more, or it gets to hot. you might also want to consider a good HSF or some case fans if you get to hot. I run at 46C under load, witha Volcano 9 CoolMod, and 2 80mm case fans.

How did you change the multiplier for the 1800? I have an 1800 and an ECS K7S5A, also overclocked to 1.67 (xp2000). However, I did this by simply changing the fsb to 147.

I'm fairly new at OC, how do you change the vcore, I can see mine in bios, but can't select it to change it. Also, how do I change the multiplier?

Will I not be able to do these things because of my motherboard. I know it's limited on overcloking ability.

Thanks

I think Sub_atomic must have had an unlocked CPU coz I don't think they are able to raise multipliers that much normally (i know i cant)

Which is a rather amusing method to 'unlocking' your CPU, which i'm trying on monday, wish me luck.
