I Have Purchased Three Cheap XP Processors Off Ebay Sold As Faulty Or Untest The First On Was A 1600+ Which Did Not Post At All But Heated Up The Heatsink The Second And Third Are 2200+ And 2400+ But Haven't Arrive Yet If They Don't Work Is There Anyway Anybody Like AMD Can Refubish Them Or I Can Get Them Working Thanks
I Got A
Athlon 2200+
512MB PC133 SDRAM
80Gb Hard Drive
64MB Geforce 3 TI500
Syntax SV266A
2MBPS Broadband
Windows XP MCE 2005

As far as I know, they're non-serviceable...either they work, or they don't
Asus A7N8X-X
1800+ @ 8.5 x 200MHz
768MB PC3200 2.5-3-3-7
Asus A9550GE/TD 128MB
WinME/WinXP Pro

As jam says, either they work or they don't.
Around 20% of CPUs coming of the assembly line don't work for one reason or another and are discarded. The figure used to be around 50% but improvements in manufacturing techniques have cut this figure. Some CPUs from the same batch only work at lower speeds and are sold at the lower speed while the best are sold at the higher speed.
I would be wary of anyone selling CPUs that are untested. They could have got their hands on some of these discarded ones and are trying to sell them on to unsuspecting punters.Stuart

I stick to a simple rule with anything electronic on ebay
untested = broken :)
after all, if you want to get a decent price for something, how long does it take to check whether it works or not?
