I have a Barton XP-3200 CPU which I still cannot get to work. During the boot process, I am getting a blue screen. EEEEK! LOL I've tried clocking it down to a 2500, but it still does the same thing. I am using muskin Level 2 Dual Modules...and was told by an individual that it may be the Memory that's causing this problem...that it's too fast for the CPU. I've tried clocking it down, and slowing the FSB, but with no luck. But my 2600 Barton runs great (actually, my current system runs all available games very well. I've been building Computers for over a Decade now, so I am well versed in Bios settings, and how to adjust them. Perhaps It's just that, so far, I've not found the adjustments which will allow it to work...if that's the problem.
I am well versed with the System Bios, and i've tried slowing things down, but it still is doing the same thing; The Blue Screen from &%$#. Hm. Does anyone have a useful suggestion, or has anyone experienced the same problem, and has since resolved it? I'm using an ULTRA 400watt P/S, Muskin Level 2 3500 Dual Modules...which easily run at 2,2,2,5--at 400mhz. the CPU is an XP Barton 2600, cooled with Gigabyte's G-Power Pro Fan/heatsink (great Fan/heatsink!). Heat is not the problem. GPU is MSI's Nvidia FX-5700. My current Motherboard is MSI's K7N2 Delta 2 Series, and is rated for the Xp-3200-@-400mhz. Again, I really would like to use this CPU before it's completely Obsolete (which is coming fast). HELP ME! :-(
Sincerly,
Jay T.
