Comment:

I have an Athlon XP 2100+ processor and a Coolermaster CP5-6J31C heatsink and fan.

After a couple hours of use, while playing a game, the CPU temp is 54 degrees. It cools to about 45 degrees when idle. The system temp is around 45 degrees. Are these temps OK?

yeah i think thats ok, mine used to idle at around 58 degrees but i installed a s--- load of fans and now it idles at 43 and rarely goes above 50 after some heavy gaming. Nothing to worry about at your temps, it wont damage until about 90 degrees anyway according to AMD.

Hi,

Your system temp is a little high, but otherwise everything looks just fine. Athlon CPU's can run real hot, anything below 60 degrees is nothing to worry about!

Bye,
