Solved x61 Kraken rattling woes

Specs: Windows 7 , 16GB DDR3

Recently (maybe a few days ago), my NZXT x61 Kraken started making some kind of rather distracting rattling noise. According to preliminary online searches, it seems to be a relatively common occurrence, either for this model or others. I tried my best to get some decent audio and video proof, which I have attached to this message; audio has been augmented by 300 percent in Virtual Dub, though.

Playing around with AI Suite II, the BIOS, or CAM, did not fix the problem. I did update my BIOS since then, don't know if it could be related. There's way more options than in the past. (ASUS Rampage IV)

I did listen to sounds and sounds like that can come from your fans (water cooler, case fans, graphics card fan(s)), from the water pump (pump problem or air in the system), or from a hard drive. Since you are listing it as fan speed, and assuming that you are keeping the water pump speed constant, the fans are in need of replacing. Purchase fans of the same size, the same number of pins (3 or 4 pin) or 4 pin (PWM) if your motherboard supports it, at least the same CFM's, and look for fans with dual ball bearings or fluid bearings and low DB's. Consider also fans that include rubber mounts to reduce noise from vibration.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
