Comment: Hey, I'm having problems with my new Radeon X1800 XL card. For some reason videos on the internet, for example videos on ebaumsworld.com appear in weird neon colours instead of their proper shades. However DVD playback with PowerDVD is perfectly fine. I used to have a 6600GT and internet videos played fine. I think I have the latest catalyst drivers and I've uninstalled my old Nvidia drivers. Is there anything else I can do? Reply: (edit)Try disabling hardware acceleration for video playback. If that fixes the problem then there might be something wrong with ur card. Also check your control center settings and set everything to defaults, cause there are some shaders you may have accidentally activated. BTW, do you have any other problems? like with gaming? Check your psu too, that card uses plenty of power. Free

Reply: (edit)My PSU has 26 Amps on the 12V+ rail so I don't think that's an issue. Plus its 510 Watts and a decent power supply. It seems like any internet video that uses WMP gets the rainbow colour problem, but those that use Quicktime or other video apps don't have this problem. I've checked all the shaders and all that but nothing out of the ordinary. Also, no problems at all with gaming. Not even with heat, though my old 6600GT was sweltering in the same case =)
