Comment:
Hello,My laptop went dead a few days ago i have a dell model 630m running windows xp pro 2.17 ghz processer and 1gig of ram.
Power light blinks for a few seconds and then nothing.there are no sounds at all, fan, harddrive ect.One by one i removed these parts to see if this would have any effect but nothing.I changed cmos battery and also removed modem and bluetooth adapter i belive i did all i can do other then taking the board and processer to a shop for testing.if anyone can tell me if i missed somthing or if you have any ideas on what it could be that would be a great help .The computer is a little over a year old and buying a new one would be a bummer.Best regards to all

If the laptop still have warranty, then I would send it back to dell for repair. If not, then buying a new laptop would be a better choice if the motherboard burnt out on you...
