I have a homegrown AMDK62 500 mHz computer that recently will not post. In other words, on power up, it wont beep and send a signal to the monitor. I push the reset button once and it usually works...sometimes it takes two or three resets. Whats goin on??

I’ve had this happen before. I replaced the PSU and the problem resolved.

Check your PSU connections to the MOBO.

I think your power supply is weak. Your motherboard is sending a "power good" signal to the supply, but its not ready to supply full current. when you hit the reset button, all power to your pci, isa and agp slots turns off for as long as you hold it down. So the current drops and the power supply can supply all the current needed
