A few more details needed.

Multi setting
Is your 1800+ a t'bred or palamino?

You need to reset the bios/cmos.
Remove the battery or set the jumpers(not sure with your board).

Is your cooling up to the job?

The multiplier on my 1800+ is unlocked...I'm guessing that your's is too.

Don't try for max CPU speed, shoot for max stable FSB. FSB is where the performance is. I have my 1800+ at 1680mhz (8 x 210mhz)...that's roughly the same clock speed as a 2000+, but 210 vs 133 FSB is a significant difference.

Your PC2700 is gonna hold you back, so chances are you won't be able to hit 200mhz FSB...but here are a few suggestions to get ya going. It's all trial & error. Be aware that you may have to raise the CPU voltage (vcore) to allow your system to run stable:

10.0 x 166 = 1667mhz (2000+)
9.5 x 175 = 1662.5mhz (2000+)

9.5 x 180 = 1710mhz (2100+?)

10.5 x 166 = 1750mhz (2100+)
10.0 x 175 = 1750mhz (2100+)

11.0 x 166 = 1833mhz (2200+)
10.0 x 180 = 1800mhz (2200+)

This will give you an idea of how I attacked my overclock:

your pc2700 ram is definatly holding you back.
I run my Tbred "A" 1800+ at 11.0 X 166MHz . I use 1.6 VCORE and generic pc2700 ram. I also water cool to keep the temps down to 40 degrees idle, 50 full load (on die thermister temp)
