NO. Look: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socket_G1 The sockets are unique and are not cross compatible. Why would you want to resurrect that dinosaur? Even if the 'speed' is higher it will be MUCH slower than ANYTHING that will fit that socket. Even if you had a socket 775 board I would not recommend it over most other socket 775 CPU's.
