Comment:

I have a an old spare pc (Pentium 3) in my house and a spare 512MB DDR2 RAM, and I was wondering if I could use DDR2 on that old pc.
I didn't experiment because I didn't want to harm my RAM.Any help is welcome.

Give Linux a try!

I highly doubt any P3 boards were made that will accept 240-pin DDR2 RAM...

Most P3 boards used PC133 SDRAM. Intel offered a few RDRAM-based P3 chipsets, and VIA made a screaming fast, Tualatin-optimized DDR(1) chipset. Unfortunately, as jam mentioned, no DDR2-compatible P3 chipsets were ever created.

The creme de la creme of Socket 939:
Opty 185 @ 3.2GHz
SLI'ed GTS-640s, both flashed to 625/1458/1950
4GB PC3200
Blu-Ray/HD-DVD, X-Fi
