Hi
I got a question.
Now my processor operates @ 789MHz. I tried changing BIOS setting>>>>external clock settings to 133MHz and my processor started working @ 1000MHz. Would that make damage to the processor?
Oh, and could anyone explain what those 1/3 2/3 mean? In external clock settings.

your cpu shouldnt burn out with adequate cooling at that speed but to be on the safeside download MOTHERBOARD MONITOR its a great program that shows the temperature and speed of the cpu so if it shows up really hot well you know

It depends if your processor was designed to be 100 Mhz FSB or 133 Mhz FSB. It almost sounds like it was meant to be 133 Mhz because it is a nice even speed, but I don't know how you got 789 Mhz on a 100 Mhz front side bus unless the FSB was out of its mind. Should have been like 750 MHZ. Well, if your comp boots and remains stable all the time, it should be fine at that speed. If it gets unstable and crashes all the time, put it back.
As to like 1/3 2/3 for external clock settings, I think that is for your PCI and AGP clock. If both of those are shown at the same time, then 1/3 is the PCI divider, and 2/3 is the AGP divider. It would put the PCI bus at 33 Mhz and the AGP bus at 66 Mhz when the FSB is 100 Mhz. If you are gonna run at 133 MHZ FSB you need to change the PCI bus to 1/4, and the AGP to 2/4 or 1/2 (change one and the other should change). Make sure you are on those settings or you could corrupt hard drive and stuff.
