Here we go again!

Is this for that crappy SFF PC? How much is this gonna cost you...$75-100? It's your decision as to whether it's worth the investment or not. I know I wouldn't go for it, but that's just me.

Your Achilles' heel is not so much you wanting an SFF box for gaming, but that you seem to be clueless as to how to tie the components needed for a good system together.

The sooner you "get" this, the easier things'll be, I have build close to half a dozen SFF rigs for some adamant users that insisted on that platform and know it can be done.

Sabertooth,

I'm not sure if you've been keeping up with kageaberzger's numerous posts or not, but I don't think his SFF PC is the same type of SFF PC that you've worked with. I'm guessing you mean the cube-shaped cases that I usually refer to as "lunchboxes"? His is more like a desktop case that uses low profile cards w/low profile brackets & his board is a S478 that uses PC133 RAM & has a 4X AGP slot. Definitely not worthy of the money he wants to sink into it, but he gets all defensive when you try to reason with him.

I believe this it what it looks like:

jam,

Thanks for bringing that up, I now recall a couple of this threads, I just didn't connect his ID & recent threads with the (many) ealier responses.

IMHO, he should just accept the 'low profile' rig & deal with it or return the darn box and ask for a refund since he must have just gotten possesion of it.

Use the built in performance monitor and use a log of a common session. If you get near 70% or more on a few of the cpu logs then consider it. If not you will not gain much.
