wierd comp wont post

My friends comp wont post. We took everything out of it except for video card and hard drive. It still wont POST. I took the harddrive and tested it in mine and it works fine, i tested his RAM/Video Card in mine they are fine, i even took his CPU and put it in mine and it works fine. We have identical Motherboards (A7v266-e) he switched out powersupplies with anotherone he had and still nothing, so i figured his motherboard was messed up. Well he ordered an A7N8x-deluxe, put only the CPU/HD/Video and it still wont POST. It baffles me, every component has been checked into mine and work fine but his computer wont POST. (it turns on, just no response) it wont even give Beeps for error messages when we start it without ram. I have a pretty extensive knowledge about computers and this just seems like it shouldnt be happening. Any suggestions?
