Why no video signal

Specs: None, AMD 64 Athalon x2

Thanks in advance for any and all insight..

If I am not receiving video signal from on
board video and upon installing PCI express
video card still no video signal. Monitor waiting for input.

Should I than assume that the Motherboard has failed?

Here's the general system specs:


What we need to know from you is which PCI-e video card did you install? Also, does that video card need to have an aux power connection from the PSU (power supply)? If so, did you connect it? And what are the wattage/amperage specs? (nothing is listed in the links above) Remove the side panel from the case & see if you can find a label somewhere on the PSU...what's the wattage & how many amps are listed for the +12v rail?

When you try switching back to the onboard video, are you removing the card? If not, take it out & try the onboard again.
