I have a MSI KT7 266 Pro 2 Motherboard, and I can't get the FSB speed to get over 133. Whats the deal? The Athlon 1.4 Tbird is a 266 FSB chip! Can anyone answer? I'm an idiot about that part of PC's.

MY SYSTEM
1.4 Athlon ghz Thunderbird
256 MB of 2100 DDR
MSI KT7 266 Pro 2 Mobo
40 GIG 7200 Maxtor HD
Geforce 4 Ti 4200

What Peter said. clock it up to about 155 and watch it crash. Mine runs stable at 140 AMD 1800+ 512 mb PC 2100(ddr sdram 266)

FSB 266 means that the Throughput is doubled because of the use of DDR Ram and the Athlon specific memory interface.

it depends what Ram Type you´re using if you want to overclock. NEVER buy cheap Noname DDR Rams because you cannot overclock them and they might say farewell if you try.
The Speed of your PC depends on 2 Factors:

FSB and Multiplikator (11,5 x 133 = 1530 Mhz = Athlon XP1800)

If you crank up the FSB to 147 = 11,5 * 147 = 1690 Mhz = Athlon XP2000)
No Deal with good cooling and decent Samsung or Infineon DDR
