64MB NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti 200 AGP
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition

My friends PC:

Hmmm, this is a humm-dinger!]

Im going for yours simply because it has a better GPU, but i wouldnt put my money on it.

The only thing youre mate has thats better is the HDD (which you dont really need a fast one for hardcore gameing), OS (doesnt effect it), and RAM. (He has better RAM than you but you have lots of it, which makes it about the same.).

In my eyes, i'd rather have your machine.

Your ram is better
His hard drive is better
His CD-rom is better
Your Video card is better
His OS is better

Botom line

I'd take a litle from each to build one kick A** system!

Personally, I think the only thing here that I would look at is the video card, otherwise, you both have small trade offs. I think your gef3 ti would make gaming overall much better. You should try what someone in your other post suggested and just run a benchmark, that will give you a difinitive answer, one score against another. Get 3dmark2001 and run it on both pc's. Post the results, as I'm sure all the geeks here would love to know judging by all those who have commented in both posts :P

A sign of personal integrity on next week's post would be a preface that says:

"This is a multi week request for input. I thank all previous reponders and am making the same post for several weeks in a row in hopes of gaining the maximum input. TIA to this week's responders"
