Which is better for performance:

The above would be for the same cpu frequency.

It all depends on the system. AMD & Intel do things differently. Intel uses the old standard FSB. AMD doesn't use a FSB, it uses the HyperTransport bus so overclocking is done differently.

For example, with a 3.0GHz Intel CPU, 9 x 333MHz with perform much better than 15 x 200MHz. However, with a 3.0GHz AMD CPU, 9 x 333MHz will perform exactly the same as 15 x 200MHz.

Which type are you asking about?

The problem with the 6000+ is that it's already close to being maxed out. Don't expect a massive increase.

The trick to overclocking an AMD system is to run the CPU as fast as possible, while keeping the HyperTransport, RAM & PCI-e buses as close to their default speeds as possible. Since your CPU isn't gonna overclock all that much anyway, it *should* be fairly simple. Just set AI tuning to manual then start increasing the CPU frequency a little at a time. You're probably not gonna be able to raise it very much anyway so you won't have to worry about the other buses. However, if you have the option, set the PCI-e at 100MHz, disable Cool'n'Quiet, disable any/all Spread Spectrum settings.

"Is this not normal?"

I'm surprised you got that much out of it. I'll have a look at the manual & post back.
