They measure processor power differently and depending on the task being performed one can be shown to outperform the other. Amd chips have generally run cooler than intel chips which depending on how you look at it, would be positive feature. The question you ask is general so here's a general answer. More important in picking out a processor is the use, speed required, load handling capabilities as well as final costing.|
Ford and Gm have both made some excellent cars......and both have had duds as well.......processors are the same. In terms of money.....Intel seems to have the most cash to develop the best processor, but AMD keeps at it with some pretty solid quad cores.
