p4p800e deluxe does not have PCI-Ex slot

PCI-Ex is better, it is a new generation of VGA slot. it has 16x normal PCI bandwith (not 8x). AGP 8x will meet it's end for not a long time.

@Fel
It's not 16x PCI clock but 16x PCI Express clock and that's a major difference.
Every single 1x PCI Express (PCIe) line has a maximal datarate of 250MB/s bidirectional and for the PCI Express graphiccards 16 of them had been combined.
Compared to that the old PCI bus had an overall capacity of 133MB/s and all devices on it had to share those 133MB/s!

For the part with the AGP running out he's surely right. The Geforce 7800GTX is no longer available for AGP so newer high end cards maybe build for PCIe only too!
On the other hand there is still no graphiccard that is faster than the maximal AGP 8x speed so those cards you get at the moment will be as fast as with PCIe!

Right now, there is no performance difference between AGP & PCI-e...the problem is, motherboard & video card manufacturer's are abandoning the AGP format. The will still be "good" AGP cards available for some time, but the "great" cards will all be PCI-e

Yeah Jam is right that's what happened when AGP first came out as well. A lot of games were still using the pold pci format.
