should I go with a p35 or nvidia 700 series with an e8400? I found alot of mobo for the p35 but I like the nvidia chipset. what should I do?

If you wanna pay $250+ for a motherboard with a chipset that's inferior to the Intel P35, go right ahead.

Barring SLI support (which is monopolized by NVIDIA anyway), it features no additional value to compete in the current Intel chipset market. The last greatest nForce chipset was the 4 series. 5, 6 and 7 series has not performed nearly to their expectations. It seems like Nvidia has been ahead for so long in the chipset wars overall, that they have become lazy. But now Intel threatening, Nvidia better do something with the 8 series before they get totally surpassed.
