Thanx for the link. I'll give it a read and although my mobo is just a plain old P5Q some things might be transferable. I'll try a few things and see how I go. Thanx :)

Do you know how to overclock?

- disable AI & do everything manually
- disable EIST (Speedstep)
- lock the PCIe at 100MHz
- lower the CPU ratio to 8x
- raise the CPU frequency from 333MHz (1333MHz FSB) to 400MHz (1600MHz FSB)
- configure the RAM to run at 800MHz

The above will give you a minimal overclock of just 33MHz (CPU at 3.2GHz) but it will give you the advantage of the faster FSB, plus the RAM will be running in sync. From there, all you need to do is try raising the CPU ratio to 8.5x (3.4GHz) or 9x (3.6GHz). You *may* have to raise the CPU voltage to stabilize the overclock.

Thanx for the reply. No, I don't know how to OC :( I do know that it can go horribly wrong but I'm still curious and cautious. Will give your specs a go. RAM in sync with FSB?
