So what's the best option? I know watercooling is supposed to be the best but what about in the summer? I don't have AC so wouldn't the water be room temp? Also I have a mid size case where would I put the pump?

Interesting question and condition to say the least.

1) Water temp at room temp is still much cooler the your soon to be 3.2ghz P4 with air cool.

2) A window AC at this time of the year in North America is less than $200, which is much less than the P4 3.2ghz cpu. Or, similar if not less than your soon to be expensive IC73max board. So, it is not the chicken or egg situation. I would make sure I FEEL comfortable or don't die from heat stroke before I take care of my computer.

3) Don't worry about the pump size. It's small enough to fit into the mid-tower case.

Best Options?

1) Get a 2.8ghz P4 or AMD (cheaper yet), and a less expensive board rather than the $200+ board.

2) With the money left, get yourself a treat and install A/C in the room.

Hope you are not upset with my options.

Last time I was in Mass., it was like 100°F+ with humidity to match. I got in the car, turned on the AC, and drove to Calif. where it was only 108 and 25% humidity...self centered? You must be one tuff dude.

Cooling your cpu with room temperature water is better than cooling it with room temperature air.

An slk900 with a tt smarfan2 is the best air option and the zalman 7000 is right behind, if you consider reasonable noise levels. If you do not care about noise, you can crank up the smartfan2 on the slk900 and match almost any water cooling rig in temps. If you want to beat the slk900 and do it quietly, you're going to need to spend some bucks on your water cooling or else build yourself a custom rig. I saw a poll the other day at an overclocking forum and 75% of those with water coolers had built their own rig. Seems like most of the kits you can buy are selling sizzle more than steak.

The thermaltake silentboost is also a new contender, but lacks a loud fan/low temp option since its aimed at quietness.

What about the EXOS? That looks like a good setup. What about adding a peltier system?
