Reply: (edit)The word is "overclocking" and it pretty much means what it says, to run a computer component over its rated clock speed. First of all, if you have to ask what it is, you are not ready to do it :^) Overclocking is used to get more speed out of a computer. There are several ways to do it, raise the FSB speed, raise the CPU multiplier and altering the voltage are a few ways. These can sometimes be done in BIOS sometimes with a program, sometimes with jumpers or physically altering equipment. Overclocking makes a computer run hot and is dangerous to equipment and should not be attempted if you need your computer to be stable and usable.
