Depends whether it has a T'Bred B or a Barton core, if it has a T'Bred B, it will run at 2.25GHz, if it has a Barton core it will run at 2.08GHz. The difference is the L2 cache, the T'Bred comes with 256K L2 cache, the Barton has 512. As they didn't produce many T'Bred B 2800+'s, your new CPU is likely to have the Barton core and will therefore run at 2.08GHz, don't see why you couldn't run a 200FSB with a 11x multiplier, that way you will have a 3200+ for a 2800+ price, just an idea.

I'm not a fan of overclocking nor am i v.good at it, i've had alot of problems wit overclocking AMD's. Beisdes Better to have something thats already that speed to be later overclocked to a faster speed than 2.08Ghz. Its plentyful in speed. Price was not an issue. And i'm crap at overclocking. If anyone knows the suitable, stable speed to run a 2800+ barton processor plz write bk.
Neway ain't a larger cache better performance wise.
