Solved what programme can i use to overclock e5500 dual core

Specs: Windows 8.1
without using bios that is. I am looking for a programme which will be running on the os and not on bios. My processor is Intel e5500 dual core on a gigabyte g41m motherboard

Please post your complete system specs & explain why you want to overclock. Include the amount of RAM & RAM speed, whether or not you have a graphics card, your power supply specs, & whether you have a 32-bit or 64-bit OS. Also, let us know if you have any overclocking experience. I'm guessing you don't because if you did, you wouldn't consider the software approach over the BIOS approach.

I wish to overclock my machine for simple gaming and overall pc performance speed. I am hoping to get an i3 and a good graphics card at least 1Gig and build a rig in the not so distant future but for now I need your help guys with what I have now. I just want to be able to stretch my machine to its full potential, its not very old its still got some life in it. I have an Intel Pentium E5500 @ 2.80 Ghz Wolfdale 65 w dual core processor, The motherboard is a Gigabyte G41M-Combo,socket 775 LGA. I know my graphics card is very small but its a GeForce 7300 SE/7200GS 256 Mbs. On memory the Ram is DDR2 x 2. There is a 2048 mb PC2-6400 (400 MHz) then a Samsung 1024 mb PC2-6400 (400 MHz).Os is Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit but awaiting upgrade to Windows 10. I have tried overclocking before but definitely not a pro. i wasn't carrying out further stress checks to see if the pc is stable or not. I would like just overclock and if the speed changes would leave it that way. I am able to use Bios overclocking so I am willing to learn from that angle. There are Five fans 1. on the processor 2. On power supply, 3. on the back, 4. on the front and the fifth one is a big one on the side the case is AONE C-601. The power supply is written 330w and 12v.
