The 3000+ Venice sells for about $146, the 3500+ Venice goes for about $219. The minor difference isn't performance isn't worth the extra $73.

The 3700+ San Diego sells for $273...you may be able to make a case for 1MB L2 vs 512k L2, but is it worth the extra $127 over the 3000+ Venice?

Depending on how much RAM you have & what you use your system for, that extra money might be better invested in a RAM upgrade, or possibly a better video card.

Put your money into good memory;GSkill
Graphic card; 7800GTX
Motherboard; DFI nF4

Venice 3000+ will get you ~2.6 to 2.8Ghz

Venice 3000+ @305x9 HTT 4X 1:1, 2.5-3-3-6 (2x512) 1.6V Vcore, 100% air cool tops out 48°c (25°C room, and I paid $139 for the chip.

The 3000 is an awesome value.
Before I got my FX-57, I had my 3000 oc'ed to 2.8 on air, and 2.94 on liquid cooling.

I have pictures to prove it in case any of you are skeptical, too. :)

Hell if you get the 3700+ miles well pay a little more and get the Athlon 64 X2 3800+. My next cpu upgrade will be the Athlon 64 X2 3800+ shortly, once I sell this Athlon 64 3000+ I have in this system already.
