Hi, I have a 3ghz Prescott cpu and i've just bought a cooler master case with fan control, case has 4 fans. I also have 2 hard drives, 1GB ram, a Raedon 9800 pro and Asus P4p800S-SE motherboard. My Power supply is an Antec Truepower 330W, is this enough for my PC, or should i give it to my brother and buy a better one?
Also is Zalman a good brand of Power supply, I want it to be quite, and Zalman are cheeper than Antec?
Cheers
Alex

The amperage on the +12v rail is very important on most systems today, you want a PSU with @ least 18A-20A distribution on that rail in addition to your calculated requirement from above.

lol, I orded an antec "truepower" 430 watt power supply from newegg and it was supposed to be only 20 amps on the 12 volt rail. When I finally get the power supply I look at the box and it says 26 amps. So that turned out pretty well :).

the amperage on the 12 volt rail does not tell the price of the PSU...

the branded name that is on your PSU is your price tag... buy zalman or antec and expect to pay out the wazoo...

just because a PSU isn't over $30.. dosn't mean that is no good...
