Hello,
I need a few bits of information from you people.
Just as therer is a Serial Number on every AMD processor, there is a identification code on the Intel Pentium 4 and Celeron processors.
What is this code called?
Where can I locate the code...on the chip or on the box?

To summarize: A retail boxed processor has a 3 year warranty. An OEM processor has a warranty dictated by the OEM supplier. A proof of purchase is required in any case.
