Reply: (edit)Your mobo can only support P3's of the same core as the one you have now. Depending on what that is, you may be able to get a P3 between 1-1.5 GHz, but your gain in speed probably wouldn't be worth the price. You'd need a different board to support a P4.

Reply: (edit)I would strongly recommend that you go out and buy an AMD Motherboard and CPU. You can buy a nforce2 chipset motherboard that is made by Abit, I think for $100.00 or a little more and then put an AMD Athlon XP 2100+ and your system will fly and will be able to handle anything. Think about it. You can basically have a system under $160.00 but since this mobo supports DDR RAM you will have to buy the ram as well. so I will say Around $200.00 you will have a nice system.

Reply: (edit)Totaly agree with Overclocker Get a AMD system with a Athlon XP you wan't regret it. P3 board have a socket of 370 pins for the cpu & a P4 have 478 pins cpu's. AMD got 462 pins cpu's. BTW:Every body that know's AMD will tell you At the same Clock speed AMD is 16% faster the a Pentium 4.
