What is PLL?

Specs: Windows 7

Hi, I know some of the tips of overclocking my
CPU, and now i stuck with clockgen, i dont what
is PLL model, and where to look for? And my pc model is HP Media Centre m7088a.

A phase-locked loop or phase lock loop (PLL) is a control
system that generates a signal that has a fixed relation to the
phase of a "reference" signal. A phase-locked loop circuit
responds to both the frequency and the phase of the input
signals, automatically raising or lowering the frequency of a
controlled oscillator until it is matched to the reference in both
frequency and phase. A phase-locked loop is an example of a
control system using negative feedback.

You're wasting your time trying to overclock that thing. The minor increase you *may* be able to get from using ClockGen will hardly be realized.

Regardless, the easiest way to find the PLL model number would be to open the case & locate the chip on the motherboard.
