What is Performance mode?

February 9, 2007 at 20:51:41
Specs: XP PRO, P4 3.2/2048

This was under jumperfree configuration. Should I tern this off will it let me overckock more? Is the the thing intel calls PAT? I have it set to turbo and under chipset there is a option called performance acceleration mode I have it enabled should I tern this off to when OCing
One more thing the PCI latency timer is set to 128 BFG said that’s what it should be set too but I have read some say if your are overclocking to set it too 32 or 64 what should it be set to? The M/B I have P4C 800 E- Deluxe

It sounds like you need to slow down!! computer systems only run as fast as the slowest piece of hardware, OC'ing as you say can cause many problems with your machine expecially if you don't realise the throughput of your hardware, (PERFORMANCE MODE) if you are overclocking should be on as it runs better, also if your graphics card is 128 it should be set to 64, and if your grahicss card is 64 it should be set at 32.

The PCI latency setting has nothing to do with whether the video card is 64-bit or 128-bit. Go to the following site & scroll down to the explanation:

I also think that the PAT mode will be disable once you reach above 200Mhz FSB... i.e 201Mhz and PAT enabled in BIOS implies PAT disabled in cpu-z...
