What is better for gaming?

CPU/Ram: 768ddr ram

I am wondering what is a better proccesor for gaming. Out of the two which are the
AMD Athlon 64 3400+ / 512KB Cache / 1600MHz FSB / Socket 939 / Processor and the AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ / 2MB Cache / 2000MHz FSB / Socket 939 / Dual-Core / Processor with Fan. Now is the x2 proccesor better for gaming than the 3400+?

Yes the AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ is a great processor and it will out benchmark it's Athlon 64 single core counter-parts for the most part.

But the new AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ on the (Toledo) core are even better chips then the first generation AMD Athlon 64 X2's.

2GB Dual Channel DDR 3200
Nvidia 6800GT
SATA II 250gig 7200rpm 8mb cache
Gigabyte Nforce 4 SLI

There's a S939 3400+ that runs at 1600MHz FSB?

At any rate, the 3200+ Venice/512k or 3700+ San Diego/1MB are the best buys in single core S939 CPUs, unless you go for an Opteron Venus/1MB
