Is this for gaming?

What FSB version is your CPU? 400, 533, or 800? Whichever it is, PC2700 RAM isn't gonna cut it, unless you're running 2 x 256 in dual channel mode (if your board supports it)...& even that doesn't cut it if you have an 800FSB CPU.

Not sure about your video card...MX400? Did you mean MX440 or MX4000? Both are low end, but the MX4000 is extremely low end.

Other than that, we'd need more detailed specs

Asus A7N8X-X
1800+ @8x210mhz
512mb PC3200
Ti4200/8X 128mb
WDC 60GB

Unless you plan on doing some high end gaming, I doubt there is much point, besides, you would have to shell out some cash for faster RAM and a better vga card as your current components aren't up to the task anyway. Even if you are encoding videos, the extra few MHz you might be able to squeeze out won't dramatically decrease the overall time it takes, even in this case you would again have shell out cash for faster RAM. So my advice is to enjoy the machine for what it is.

firstly the cpu's fsb is 800, secondly its a mx400 video card. Plan to get a much better card and better mobo of course where memory is concerned well i'm in jamaica and its expensive. the games i play are Need for speed underground that kinda stuff it run pretty good i just wanna make marginal improvements at this time, also i want a level of efficiency

In that case, wait for a faster video card. A CPU overclock won't yeild anything but headaches as the performance increase won't be all that substantial because the RAM will be holding you back. Additionally, are you sure your CPU is running a 800FSB??? Because according to this your max FSB on that mobo is 533???
