|A friend gave me this PC because I didn't have a good one. My old PC was a compaq with a 333MHz CPU and 128MB of RAM. My Girlfriend tries to play flash games on the Dell and they are just unbearably slow. So I was wondering If upgrading the CPU would help. The best CPU it can take is a 2.0GHz Pentium 4 socket 423. But I don't know if 2GHz would be good enough. I found a converter that allows me to upgrade to a 2.8GHz 478 socket CPU though and it is $30. But I looked on Ebay and the compatible Pentium 4's are priced outrageously high! But then I found a compatible 2.8GHz celeron for just $12.|
Would this Celeron (2.8GHz 128KB L2 cache 400MHz FSB) cpu play flash games good? I just want something that's good for flash. Everything else is fine.
