I recently bought a SOYO SY-P4I865PE Plus V1.0 motherboard for my computer project. I want to use a Geforce 5900 with it. It says that i can only use 1.5 volt video cards in the AGP slot. My question is what is the voltage of the 5900, so will it work?

Yeah it will work !!
To the best of my knowledge the FX5900 is a 1.5 card only....
Check the manufacturers site for confirmation.
I think that teh 5900 cards also had their own power connectors, which required the main cable from the powers upply unit to be connected, other wise it will not run...
If that card does in fact have its own power supply connector the 1.5 volt issue does not apply.

Summary: If temp is the ONLY issue with higher voltage, you’re doing pretty well. When I wrote AMD about a temp issue, they made a big deal out of keeping the voltage of my Athlon 1.4GHz at 1.75. Document 24...
