Comment: I have a Nvidia TNT2 M64 16 meg pci video card. When i put it in my computer all i can get is a screen full of nothing but a bunch of colors. I have put another card in there though and it boots just fine and i can see the bios and everything. Is this card busted or are there jumper settings i need to set up or maybe something else? Richard

Reply: (edit)see if there is any jumpers on the card that need changing because if the colours are in a test sequence you might need to take the card out of test mode

Reply: (edit)First of all, BEFORE you change video cards, you MUST remove the old card's drivers, particularly if you are running windows, reboot and load the standard vga windows driver. Then shutdown and change the video card. If you have a voodoo card, you may need to re-install windows to clean out the voodoo crap that remains behind in registry and elsewhere. A friend of mine had this problem and thought it was the new video card. He found out about the voodoo uninstall thing from the local computer store. Good luck! Charles
