Hi,
I have 2 computers and one of them is a compaq with an upgraded video card. I bought the 8500LE and about a year later the fan on the Heatsink stopped working because of so much dust. The video card is still working fine and runs with no fan spinning.. at about 85-90C (no joke, when u touch it, it feels like your finger is on fire!) So...how can i reduce dust and how can i cool down my video card.

enermax sells case/exhaust fans that fit into pci/agp slots, plug into 4pin connectors and do a fine job cooling agp cards

about the dust... Put the cover back on!!! Stop smoking by it, don't leave it near an open window in the spring, and spray it twice a year with air in a can.

Summary: I wouldent bother buying a video card cooler unless I had a high end card. You would be best just getting more airflow through the card. Rig up a 80mm fan blowing air on it or buy a PCI slot fan and p...
