The folks in the Driver Forum seem to be braindead, so I'm repeating my post here...yea, it's off topic, but there seems to be a fairly knowledgable group here so hopefully someone will know the answer.

I have an MSI GeForce2 MX 32mb videocard. I read in another post that nVidia had drastically improved it's drivers, so I went to the MSI website to check it out. The following comment was attached to the driver download for nVidia driver 28.90..."NOT Recommended to be used for VIA KT133/ KT266/ KT266A/ KM266 based motherboard". Instead, they recommend driver 27.20 for these mobos. The latest Detonator XP Driver at the nVidia website is version 29.42!

I downloaded/installed version 27.20 for now but would like to use 29.42 if it'll work.

Anyone familiar with this?

Hmmm...

Don't know why they would say that. I have been using the latest drivers on both of my PC's (G2 MX400 & G2 TI) with no issues. Both of the PC's use the VIA KT133 chipset.
