Alright. Tech talk.

For those of you who have a ASUS A7N8X board, or anyone who have a mobo monitor software like MBM5.

I have been keeping a keen eye on the Vcore, I see that it flutates between 1.68 to 1.696.

I have a XP 2500 overclock the FSB to 200 and Multiplier at 11x. So it is now a "XP 3200" equivalent.

Question is... with the vcore from the ASUS PROBE (a real time temp/voltage monitor that came with the purchase of the mobo) showing my Vcore is having such a variation from 1.68 to 1.696.

Is it telling me that the CPU needs a bit more power to run at such overclocked speed?

Noteworthy however, that despite my o/c CPU, I have kept my Vcore at stock 1.65V. My O/S WIN ME and 3DMARK 2001SE ran smoothly. No hangs in O/S, no weird boot up problem.

Do some of you think I should go with what the ASUS PROBE software says or just leave it alone since my O/S WIN ME is running fine.

It is probably just fine, no PSU is going to supply a certain voltage dead on all the time, the vcore for processor will fluctuate slightly, some boards overvolt it a bit too, which isn't necessarely a bad thing.

If your temps are fine and it is stable I would leave it, that voltage isn't going to harm the processor.

I have the ThermalTake 480W. Nice 2 fan PSU and comes with a fan control unit. Heck, I leave mine on HIGH as always :)

Thank you for your input.
