CPU/Ram: Celeron/1GB
Model/Manufacturer: Intel
Comment:
Hi, Ive been wondering for quite a time now if i can upgrade my Celeron 1.7GHz to a Pentium 4 2.4GHz CPU. Ofcourse the front bus speed got to be similar but does the Core Voltage have to be the same as my previous CPU???

I mean, on my celeron it says 1.75V, and the CPU i was about to buy say its using a 1.5V core voltage.... Im so confused.. can anybody explain this to me? THANK YOU LOADS!

Have you checked the Motherboard Manufacturers Support Site to see what CPU's are actually supported ??

Most modern MoBo are Auto Configure, very few have dip switches these days...........
