Comment: I was wondering if anyone can tell me IF i can upgrade the CPU's in 2 sony vaio's I own... one is a PCV-120, the other is a PCV-E203 what speed can i upgrade to?

Reply: (edit)Unfortunately the CPU is soldered to the mother board so no upgrade possiable. However if you upgrade the memory then the paged memory will be freed and the paged memory need CPU to operate so you will see a definate result in the response time. Good luck.

Reply: (edit)Hmmm... my girlfriend has a Sony PCV-E203 and had a Slot 1 Celeron 300MHZ. I put in my old Slot 1 PIII 500MHZ with no problems (it helped out that crap box a lot!), but I'm sure the BIOS won't support much higher than that, POSSIBLY as high as 700MHZ. As far as the other sony PCV-120... I have no idea what's in there, good luck!
