Alright bare with me as im not so good at spelling and punctuation. so i have been running a intell core 2 duo e4300 for some time now and thought why not upgrade. so i got a e7500 same voltage same socket just faster. i plug it in and nothing. will not boot into bios or show a display. so i check to see if it is seated and it is. so i put my old one back in and it works just fine. try my new one still nothing. so i unplug every thing test it with one ram stick and still at the same stage move my graphics card to another slot still nothing. i am running a MSI nforce 650i sli motherboard. with a 600w psu and a geforce gts250. is it a bad cpu?

Did you try overclocking the E4300? It will easily do 3.6GHz (9 x 400) with the right board & RAM. You *should* have been able to crank it up to at least 3.0GHz with your board.

Did you check to see if the E7500 was supported by your board before you bought it? It's a fairly old board...have you ever updated the BIOS?

I never would have updated the CPU in the 1st place. All you had to do was keep the E4300, increase the FSB from 800MHz to 1066MHz & it would have run at 2.4GHz (9 x 266MHz). And if the board supports 1333MHz FSB, it would have run at 3.0GHz (9 x 333MHz) which would have made it faster than the E7500. IMO, you wasted your money, especially since you can't get it to work.
BTW, it would help to know which board you have...MSI made several based on the 650i.

Well i have it running at 2.5ghz with no problems. if i put the fsb to 1333 it gives me a blue screen my mobo supports 1333mhz

You have to adjust other settings as well....voltages, RAM frequency, RAM timings, PCI-e frequency, Spread Spectrum, EIST (SpeedStep), etc

alright i will have to mess with it after i get a new cooler as for the other proccesor tired it on a firends pc and same thing so it must be doa
